NYC that is, where new bike lanes and bus lanes are pushing the car guys out more every day. After 30 years here I'm planning my escape!
Funny you should say that I know a few people who moved there in the last few years, I assume to the dismay of the natives
Thanks everyone for the warm welcome. I've had my eye on southern California for years, mainly cause the weather allows year round rodding and the lack of rust, although it seems like it might not be the classic car mecca it once was. Heard that the last 2 drag strips in So Cal both closed last month
Agreed ... no offense, but the last thing we need is another New Yawker. But if you do come anyway, just remember that we don't give a damn how you did things in the old country.
What's funny is that everyone comes to NYC, acts like a jerk. Walks around yelling, littering, drinking in public with the attitude of "It's New York City, anything goes! WOOOOOHOOOOOO!" But if someone from NYC comes to their town they're crying "there goes the neighborhood". We welcome the rest of the world with open arms, please do the same for us when we're in your town. P.S. NYC is just as Hot Rod friendly as anywhere else:
Calif getting to be pro bicycle, pro diamond lane, and anti car...... The greenies have talken over....... 4TTRUK
Welcome from Western NJ, where we still have farms, and all the yuppies moved to from the city. . . . . they are amazed to see cows out here.
Welcome....you should give Maine a try. Beautiful country, affordable, easy street rod, antique car laws, no smog bullshit laws. A good place to be when the country unravels and TSHTF. Lots of water here....never live any place where you are dependent on electricity for water and air conditioning! Good luck with your move...yes I have family on 9th and 22nd in Chelsea and I visit occasionally but I love to get back here to Maine!
yes, here in socal there calling them "share-ow lanes". something like that. and they sit empty causing more traffic in the lanes that are still there. anyway, welcome.
