Hello everyone!! My name is Alfio Previtera ( it's Italian), I'm from South Jersey, but currently I am in central Kansas attending McPherson college for automotive restoration. I am new to the world of hot rods, and have been in the process of creating my own for the past few months. I love traditional hot rods, in my book they are just pure bad a*s. I'm sure I am going to recieve a wealth of information and I can't wait to get started. Here are a few pictures of my new project, enjoy. Constructive critisizm is welcome. Thanks. Here's the start of my project. I'm pretty sure it's a 36 Ford PU truck cab. It is actually sitting in an old farm dump in the woods. Notice the tree that fell right on the roof years ago. This is how it looked after me and my dad freed it from the thorn bushes. It pretty much just fell apart, but I had planned on chopping it up anyway, so no big deal. It wouldn't have been in bad shape if the tree hadn't fallen on it. This is my gooned out self. Body is somewhat complete, and I was happy to see some results. This is a preview of the finished project. We found the straight axle about 20 yards from the body. Sadly it has been cut in half and used for a wagon axle. This is after I finished my frame design on paper, transferred it to a 1/12 scale model (laying on the floor in front of the body), and drew it out lifesize on the floor. Calculator and notepad were in quick reach for conversions. Notice the writing on the door. This is the almost completed frame. Engine sits between the rails to test fit.
