I've always been in awe (not too strong a word) of hot rods and the skills of those who create them. While I grew up spending many hours at Carlsbad Raceway in the mid-60's, and still read many rod-oriented magazines - I never acquired the "hands-on" experience to actually build one myself. With the discovery of this site, I feel like I've finally found a place to learn some real fabrication skills and share the enthusiasm of fellow enthusiasts. No project yet, but I'm reading as fast as I can!
