greetings everyone ! just retired from The Corps, and missed most of my kids childhood due to my travelings to far away places, so I have decided to try to catch up to the missed times, and do father and son projects with my two kids, so i know I am going to need some help. I have a 56 chevy bel air, for me a 55 ford f-100 that my younger kid really likes, and the older wants the 77 corvette, figure that out? I can get around a tool box easy, but not a profesional by any means, so i will clean up all the greasy and rusty parts and the shop, if you guys can help me out. eltuco69
thank you kindly! do you know how to remove the windshield and back gl*** molding from a 1956 belair?
hi i`m from mid state nc great to have you here ,have a friend that runs a gl*** shop he has done a 56 recently , if you still need the help i`ll see what i can find out for you
thanks! yes I still need the info, I just started to take apart the car and most of the molding is in great shape, I don't want to screw it up by prying in the wrong place. I was just in Charlotte, and I was told that in Burlington, there is a chem-strip company that will stripp the body and get it cleaned up, what do you think?
Eltuco I'm going to email you a detailed instruction page to remove the trim. I'd post it here but don't know how. Gene
visited the strip shop in burlington last year they do good work , cost could be a tad prohibited , sorry i was slow on the gl*** removal info . did you get the info you needed
hey Mudbone, I e-mailed the company for a quote, but the guy said he wants to talk over the phone for a quote. maybe sandblasting would be a better choice, and no I haven't got info on the trim removal for the front and rear gl***, I bought some tools from Eastwoodco to remove all the other trim almost done with it.
