I always thought it was chrome, still think it is. Figured I should make sure because I have seen some mention stainless. I got more curios when realizing the bumpers and parking lights were terrible after 50+ years, but my grill actually looks very good compared to, and doesnt have any pitting. Hell I didnt know the parking lights were pot metal until I had them rechromed and he told me. Example of stainless mentioned
The grille is chromed, but the centre bar like your example is stainless, just to confuse you. Regards
Chrome parts will have a much brighter shine than stainless will . Chrome will also be much heavier than stainless . You can also get scratches out of stainless and chrome you can't . I hope this helps . Jim
