I had a piece of wire wheel rest on my eye and after 3 days of hoping the pain would stop I went in to the optometrist. Even with the anesthetic drops in that is too creepy a thought to me, futzing around with the eyeball. Ick. After 3 days, the wire had already started rusting from sitting in the saline eye solution! Lesson learned. Well, THAT lesson. A couple of months later I learned about the hazards of loosely held items catapulting off the wirewheel and then off the unprotected forehead. Dumb boys, dumb boys, whatchoo gonna do??

I've just ordered a pair of Thorogood loggers a couple weeks ago because I heard good things about them. But they are taking forever to break in. I have an old pair of Red Wings that I keep getting re-soled and re-capped.
