I'll help ya take off those heavy bumpers, glass and all the interior bits...Heck I'll even loan ya my milk crate! If that doesn't work, then I'll sell ya my Chev Roadster. She's only got a 283 with a 4 speed and a 6 pack set up waiting to be bolted on. I hate brothers, just ask mine!

OHV for sure. If it was a hopped up GMC 302, I'd say double for sure

 

I'd bet the I6 assuming it'll hook up. That thing should have tons of torque and be able to wind up fast. Should be a great race either way.

All I can offer is my experience: the first car I ever got to run under it's own power was a '53 Ford 2-door wagon w/ 6cyl/3-speed. Great cruisin' fun, until the day I felt confident enough to give it 100% - blew rods right out onto the road! Next car was a '49 tudor w/ same flathead V-8 buildup as yours - ran pretty dang strong, and no matter how bad I tortured it, never had any problem but water pumps. If the 6 takes the V-8, it'd be the biggest David beats Goliath upset since, uh, David vs Goliath.I'll be cheerin' for the 6, but if I had money, I'd put it on the V-8. Will be looking forward to a full report w/ pix and ET slips...

Of all the ohv 6s i would say that the 215 is one of the weaker ones but it could go either way i want to know what the rear end ratios and trannys are that could change everything.

 

Drag Rac'in: 1/8 mile-Inline; 1/4 mile-V/8

Flat mile: V/8
Up-Hill mile: Inline
Down-Hill Mile: V/8

 

I'm takin the flatty, but should be interesting.

 

Looks like were about 50/50 on the responses. I think it could actually be a good race. Maybe we can just set it up for some road off the beaten path during VIVA. Then again i think we should all do some good old fashion street racing on the outskirts of town.

Neither does mine. It started by people telling Dan to watch out cuz im gonna beat him if we ever race and its gone from that, to this. Mine should be going in the next couple weeks.

That is going to be a tough call but I will have to give the six a small edge if the rear gearing is stock.
