I see in the Jegs flyer some Ford Racing GT40X alum. heads $469.99 each. 64 or 58cc. Does anyone know if these are the GT40P style that need specific headers? Anyone got any thoughts on if these are good heads for a mild street 351W that I want to get about 375 hp and some decent torque out of for my 56 F100. They seem like a good price but I don't know a lot about engines yet..... Thoughts? Thanks Peter

decent heads for the money. not the same as p heads. no special exhaust required. i ran a set on my falcon with a mild 302. they performed well.

they don't sound like they're that bad of a deal. Is that assembled heads, or just castings? I gotta look at my catalog;)

Try SBFTech.com and search in there. There is a TON of info about small block Fords in there. Great site.

Well, the X stands for Xtra Performance. These were called the "Turbo Swirl" heads.
They actually come in two chamber sizes, the X303 is 64cc chamber, and the X305 is the smaller 58cc chamber, and yes, they do flow better than the GT40P.
I had a friend put these on his 5.0l and gained 25Hp ATRW, but this was over the stock head. I believe the ports are a little higher, but I don't think you need special headers or intake.....................but I'm not sure.

    IMHO

How do you think these [64cc] would compare against some Edelbrock performer RPM heads. Thanks. Peter
