My Dolphins aren't hooked up yet, but I'll at least say that they fit right in my '37 Plymouth stock gauge openings like that's what they were made for. Also, Dolphin finally heard the criticism, and got rid of the fish logo.

Well then, anybody ever seen this setup?

I kinda dig it, its better than the dakota digital or billet inserts I've seen. But I don't like what I've heard about Dolphin gauges as of late. What are your experiences with them?

Yes, I am running a 6 gauge set in my '31. Very nice gauge, black with white numbers and a red Faria script. Unusual and good looking and, I have read, a quality gauge. Faria, now(?) makes primarily boat gauges.

This brings up another point and that is if you're looking for a different gauge you might try marine or aircraft suppliers.

    Try here:

Didn't see it mentioned.....but Moon gauges are made by Autometer.....FWIW

  7. I've had good luck with electronic gauges made by "Cl***ic Instruments". They were all made in USA.

YEA!!!!!!! Squish the FISH! I liked thier design but couldn't stand the stupid logo, especially on the "vintage" stuff. Cool. Thanks for the update.

.....but it would also be very nice if they matched the fonts between the Dolphin name and the one used on the gauge. THEN they'd be right on.

Just got my AutoMeter's today. I'll see if 1950ChevySuburban is correct by the weekend. I've heard I need adaptors but that was from 47-53 owners and the '54s are just different enough. I'll post what I find out!

They are nice. I do like those Cl***ic Instruments for the '32. Maybe when I save my pennies for my truck! When I'm 64...

My 57 has had SW for 40 yrs with no problems. Had no luck with
auto meter Tachs at all when racing. I have a Moon tach in it for street
use. Been ok for a couple of years now.

I have Cl***ic Instruments Vintage guages in my 34. The gold bezels are starting to look old (20 years, at least) but the faces are still nice and they all work well.

Have an older (at least 25 years old) set of SW in my 57 Olds. They still al work well. No problems with either set except for the bezels of the Cl***ics. Others in my family have used Autometer, VDO, and SW and no one has had any serious complaints.
