    I love it, I thought it looked cool to start with if not a bit high but you going to make it rule. great fab I'll be watching and probably pilfer some ideas

    You are really talented. Looking through your thread has actually made me decide that I am going downstairs today and pulling all teh junk I have stacked on my car and working on my cab. Awesome Build thread. Quick question: are you torching all that metal/sawszallling? I ask because the work is spotless.

    fantastic detail & parts building, i learn a lot from pics like these, gives me some guts to try it myself ! as for space? WOW i cant believe you get it done in a cracker box like that, props man, you're doing a hellofa job. i bitch about my little 28 & 26 garage , but no more ! LOL keep it up man love it

  21. wow! so many questions! i'm amazed at how positive the response has been to this thread, i was expecting a couple of 'oh that looks alright' comments and for it to disappear to the 400th page :) so thanks very much to everyone that has said something nice, it's much appreciated :)

    we have an annual classic car show here with a small rod/kustom/muscle car section. as soon as my coupe is finished i plan to ferry it over to the UK once or twice a year to attend a few shows although i'm building it more for personal gratification rather than as a show car :)

    i'm not bad with sheet metal, i have a fair bit of experience with rust repair and panel replacement/modification (a few years of playing with old VW's is the reason for that) but i've never chopped a roof or done any major sheet metal fab although i'm sure i will sooner or later.

    thanks bob, you're roadster is too awesome for words and you're gold coupe is a pretty inspirational car to me, when i saw it at the super nats a couple of years ago for sale i was thinking of all kinds of ways to raise the funds to buy it! i hope it went to a good home.

    cheers steve! yeah i do if thats ok, sorry i haven't got back to you yet, things have been a bit hectic here lately, i'll get that speedway spring back to you as soon as possible, just trying to find the cheapest way to get it there. :)

    all the stuff i cut is done with a thin (1mm) cutting disc in a 4'' grinder then cleaned up with a flap wheel also in a 4'' grinder. i can't afford a torch or a sawzall! :D
