While I don’t have any direct knowledge that he used that term I imagine it may have been common in that era. Here is the head he manufactured without the SOHC setup on it, two siamesed intake ports and note the small water ports at the ends of the head. His SOHC kit could be added to this head. McDowell’s later DOHC head was four valve.
thanks after thinking about it im sure, single stick was quick reference, and they probably called the dohc a double stick thanks again. we are putting a riley single port in the car
