I need a lens for the top marker light on a Guide 682c headlight. Does anyone reproduce them? Thanks.

Check out otbgear.com as they sell reproduction 682 C & J headlights and all the parts. The lens you want may differ from what they use as I think there are 2 styles.

If all else fails, speedway motors do a "modern" replacement dual filament lens and bulb insert.

Of course, if you can't find an exact aftermarket replacement, buy an original lens or partial or complete headlight. Or a whole different pair. An opportunity to change to something else if you like.

I'd like to find an original. OTB has them for $22.00 which is fine. However the cheapest shipping they offer is $35.00. I will look for an original. Thank you.

Wonder why OTC made the less popular pointed lenses rather than the more desirable rounded lenses?

You know Mr. Krylon down here inTexas the pointed ones were really hard to find. Have you ever seen a set of pointed that turned a light purple? Local guy has a set on his coupe

Yes. I had a set that turned purple, traded them for a pair of round ones.

Guess it's a matter opinion. From the OTB webpage:

"This gl*** lens is a duplicate of the Series 2 product from Guide. These quality lenses are made in computer designed stainless steel molds and are actually superior to the originals. If not broken, the originals are often cloudy from the sunlight affect on impurities in gl*** of that era.

What was a Series 1 lens? These are from very early production and had a rounded front. The factory simply updated the lens to have a pointed front - calling it Series 2. The two designs are totally interchangeable with each other. We chose to reproduce the Series 2 because of it's greater popularity, and more aggressive styling".

I no longer need the lens. Thanks.
