Guilty, yer honner...

    I think maybe yes, I could be one of those old farts that owned at least half a dozen flathead shoeboxes and Mercs in the early sixties. You could buy them for $100.00, run them for a year or two, and sell them for $50. to your cousin. Club coupes, Montereys, my buddy even had a '51 Ford convert, with OD yet, and it worked! A guy in town had a '50 club coupe with a six and an OD rear who went around blowing off flathead eights with no sweat. Them sixes would run if you set them up right.
    Anywho, I'm glad to be here, and hope to learn from anyone I can, and will contribute if I am able. Have some old parts which I may list later.
    Personally, I am a disabled Vietnam vet (caught a mortar round,Tet '68) and I am building a '51 Merc coupe, old style, as best I can. Also I sail and race a 30' Pearson sloop.
