Just picked up a real nice '37 ford truck cab that some hillbilly mistook for a ra****......What nature didn't put a bunch of holes in, some one toothed ****** did

Just becuz someone used it for target practice is NO good reason to outlaw guns!!!

You never saw bullet holes before?.......Luckily the doors must've been off the cab because they were spared Mostly the back,a couple in the rear corners of the roof and a couple in the firewall

 

You just saved a lot of money on fake bullet hole stickers

 

Bullet holes add charicter to vintage tin. Chances are, since you dragged it out of teh woods, it needs quite a bit of work anyway, so a few holes here and there won't make all that much difference(P.S. I love guns almost as much as i love cars )

when negativematt was dis***embling my quarter panels he sold me he sent me a pm that said he didn't realize it, but there was a bunch of shotgun pattern in one side.. I asked him which side? he said p***enger, and I said Great! That'll match my p***enger door perfectly!

Unfortunately it's lots of fun to shoot old cars, but I prefer a moving target.

One must be a real dumb mother f..er to use a car as target practice there fore one should not be allowed to have a gun nor have children.

Unless the car is a sieve, look at it this way.

Bullet holes are easy to fix and it will be a good learning experience.

Repair them one section at a time, prime as you go and you'll see some progress which will help put you in the right frame of mind.

 

Bullet holes add character. Makes it look like a real mobster/criminal/outlaw ride.

You'll be the ultimate bad*** with a few *real* bullet holes in that thing, rather than with the stickers.

 

Guns rule......just dont shoot them at cars.........except maybe Honda's and Toyota's.

LOL . when I had my 53 pickup , I was told it was some southern guy's daily ride because he was a drunk. He wanted something he didnt feel bad about when he drive off the road into ditches. Apprently he did that A LOT. Probably shot the damn thing up a time or two as well- there were some unidentifiable holes on places I wouldnt have thought things rusted .

Kinda wish I still had the thing but sold it to another HAMB er about 3 years ago who sold it to someone else to enjoy.... Woulda like running into ditches on my own time..

Maybe someone could do us up a Tech specifically on repairig large caliber bullet holes. My 38 has quite a few as well in its cab and doors. I started on a pattern of them a couple of weeks ago and I am not satisfied with my results. I have metal overlaping metal from the stretch the bullet put into it.
I am considering using a hole saw to cut the holes out and then weld in another peice of metal.

 

If you fix five a day, that'll only take a week.

I know, it don't add up, but there's a couple of beer drinking BBQ days in there.

I mean . . . man doesn't live by bullet holes alone....
