mine's a keeper. she was out in the driveway with me all winter. i handed her wrenches as she lay under the truck reaching stuff i couldn't, and she held space heaters for me as i leaned over the fender wrenching up top. 17* and she was there with me every minute.

i'd say she's a keeper too. although, not really a tomboy...

It seems like very gf I have ever had either didn't drive or even have a car, yet alone work on them... Then again, I would get lazy and have her do everything ;)

Got pretty lucky myself. Both of our passions are cars! Not only does she wrench cars, but she wired our new garage too!!!

My wife could care less about those "pieces of shit you love more than me" cars that I work on. Now my two Sons, that's a different story. The wife does bring food out to me though so I guess she can stay.

My wife isn't interested in cars. She is very supportive of my interest though and that is great. My daughter likes to go for rides and keep me company in the garage sometimes. I'm kind of a loner when it comes to my cars anyway - so it works out for everyone. I wouldn't want it any other way.

My wife hepled me strip the paint off of the last project. She claimed it was so I could get done faster, but I think she enjoyed it.

Oh my god..I think my wife has said the exact same thing.

To her credit, she does help finance my sickness...she worked overtime to help get the extra cash for my welder.

My wife helps me on a lot of my projects.

Just a few weeks ago she replaced the suspension in her autocross car - all I was allowed to do was break loose some of the tighter bolts for her.

And way back shortly after we were married, she pulled the head off of a Chevy straight-6 engine so I could take it to the machine shop for a valve job. Then she put it back together and tuned it up.

Neither of my two sons are interested in working on cars. They know how to change tires and oil but that's about it.

My wife dont like seeing our car projects sit idle. if she thinks im taking to long on a part of the car she will start on a new part or push me harder to get that one done so she can work on the piece she wants to do.

My lady has very little interest, but she loves to reap the benifits for sure. She may bitch all week that I'm spending more time with the Buick than her, but when Saturday night rolls around, shes behind the wheel.

My wife? In the garage? Nah. It ain't happening. But that's OK with me.

My daughter, on the other hand shows some promise. Sort of comes and goes, but she is just 16 after all.

My fiance will do whatever I need her to. But I'll probably say something to make her cry, so I trained our girl.

I am jealous of you guys whose wives/girlfriends help you out...that would be the BOMB. However, I think I have the next best thing with a wife who digs what I dig, respects that I love the old stuff and leaves me alone. That is the point...if she doesn't understand things, then get our of the way which she does. She has a nice house and I have a garage for my peace and quiet! She is not even allowed in my "Man Lounge" upstairs unless she is topless or brings a topless friend. Rules ARE rules! (Does that make me old school?)

when she was a girl friend she helped, but after we got married the bitchen started slow and increased. in few months it will be ex-wife, needed to find a new girlfriend that likes the old car scene. but when the daughters arrived ( now 5 & 3 ) they were in the shop and at the shows as quick as i could. the future ex is keeping them away from me but that should change soon when the judges rules on custody.

picture below is the older one helping chop up a 49 chev for parts

I've got one. She's building her own '56 Fairlane right now. Even did assembly work on the 312 Y block.
