H.A.M.B. Auction: One Top Chop.....YES-you Read That Right!

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by choprods, Feb 13, 2006.

  1. WELL......
I was reading Curious Rash's post about the HAMB being coin operated, and I got to thinking.....:)
I AM GOING TO TRY TO HELP OUT THE HAMB A LITTLE!

I have got a lot of help here -gave a little too-Sold stuff- Bought stuff, and in general most of it has been coming my way instead of bein a two way street.
    +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
    OK here is the deal:
#!rule-YOU MUST HAVE BEEN ON THE HAMB AT LEAST-90 DAYS.
    ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
I will chop -:D YOUR- top.....
Included is chopping the top ,the amount you specify-
    Mig welding it all back-
    grinding down the welds-
cut and weld garnish mouldings fit doors-
Rough-in/ body work to my taste.......:)
    [I know a little about this so don't worry]

There are a few finer points/guidelines, that have to be applied here-
    they are as follows:

#####Two OR Four door cars [and trucks] from 1926 thru 1960 only.....####

    NO airport limos:eek:
    No convertibles:p
    No school busses /NO OTHER BUSSES/no station wagons/ sedan deliveries/ panel trucks/ Suburbans either-HA:)
Other than that it is simple.....
You deliver/ship your stripped out vehicle[no interior no glass] ...that is too tall:eek: ....[will be here 4 weeks]
I chop that top-You pay the money to the HAMB-Then I let you pick it up.
YES ~~~~~~100%~~~~~~ of your bid here is going to support the HAMB.

Now how can you beat that. MODERATORS- please STICKY this up top and lets get the bidding started......Heres your chance to get a deal on choppin that car!
AND.....Yes-It will get chopped if this auction only brings 150 dollars~ha ha!!

[[[[[[[SINCE THIS IS A LITTLE UNUSUAL AUCTION - IT WILL BE GOING ON TILL THE 1ST OF MARCH 2006-then we will tell the winner.]]]]]]]]

I'll go an even $700 to see this happen, either my '41 Plymouth business coupe, or whatever my flavor of the week is that week.

Could you post up some pics of the cars you've done in the past? I'd love to see what I'm bidding on!

And a fantastic idea, whether I win it or not.

That's what I like to see! Are you opposed to filling in the rear quarter windows on a business coupe and cutting the roof accordingly to make a three window coupe? Or is that asking too much?

Oh, now you got me all exited! Are you willing to do this to a HAMBer's car as part of the auction? I would imagine a hardtop'd coupe chop like this would be a difficult one. Or are you willing to go all out on this one? Do you have a payment/delivery date set for the car?

On the Paypal thing, I'm sure it will be up to Ryan but Paypal will take at least 3%.

Somebody's getting a HELL of a deal when this is all over!!! :)

In addition to a professional chop job, the winner will no doubt be treated to:

    1. Meeting Kenny in person...and you won't ever meet a cooler dude!!

    2. A meal at the GREAT little joint in bustling downtown Elmer, Missouri!

    3. A guided tour of Kenny's picturesque Empire!!

Those things alone are worth a bunch...the chop job is just icing on the cake!! :)

All I can say Kenny is WOW this is really what Hot Rodding is all about its Guys like you that step up and take it to another level in helping fellow Rodders out.

Ryan will certainly be happy with the help received and who ever wins the Auction is in for some incredible workmanship.

I just finished having my 30 Tudor Chopped otherwise I would be all over this.

Great Idea hope lots of members bid on this one.
