If they are on this board they should be refered to as HOT RODS or CUSTOMS. Who gives a rats ass what they started out as? Frank
I'll answer my own question. Apparently there are a lot of folks here who think its a big deal. If your one of them I suggest that a local drug store has cure for it in the form of a laxative. After the application of the proper dosage and those bowel movements become regular maybe you can "get a life" as they say and start worrying about something that's really important. Frank
Dang guys, I had watched this thread over the months and got mine done. Just thought some body might want to see it. Nobody had posted here since feb. Enough B.S. more pics.
People ask me if mine is real ?.......A real what ?........Just drive and enjoy yours , who cares what it is if YOU like it.............Z.
I am fortunate enough to own two 1932 Fords ... Both of mine are original Henry Ford steel sitting on original Henry Ford frame rails. Big whoop ... NO big deal ... If it was not for all the reproduction body and parts available ... there is no way this old man could own one original steel Deuce much less a pair. The parts and pieces would be so hard to find and expensive ... so only the wealthy could afford them. I have been buying/collecting Deuce parts for over 30 years ... so I am not all that terrible DEEP in the roadster and the 3W ( while I am deeper into it than the roadster ) ... is most likely worth the $$$ I have spent on it. I enjoy the challenge and the chase of finding only good Henry Ford parts and pieces ... but if a rodder wants a fiberglass or Brookville ... that's up to him IMHO ... not us. I help put on the " All Deuces " Run to Blowing Rock NC ... shameless promotion of the flyer below ... READ and Re-READ if necessary ... this part Steel or glass, coupe or roadster, fenders or Hiboy ... ALL ARE WELCOME It just does not really matter ...
The Dick Roy 5 window was built in 1956 and retired in 1968. It did the show circuit in the Ontario region. Was stored for 40 years then resurfaced again being flipped until I found it at Charlisle last year. This one is a keeper. Did the Midwest Autoramas this winter and plan a few more events this summmer.
Name yer price & ship the sucker Downunder, you should see the crap we start out with. cheers. Rattlesnake Hoey.
WOW!!!------This thread is ongoing!!----HEY RANDY, Kinda reminds me of my thread a while back---"How many 32 Roadsters still around" (no kit cars)------Don
I never did post my car in this thread because it's fake, even though 3WLarry who started the thread said fake cars were okay. But now I see that it's not only fake, it's also lame....and a kit, I thought I would post a photo.
That Mordoor is GLASS all right, SMOOTH AS GLASS!! Damn, that thing has a shine on it that just doesn't quit!
OK guys. I guess the word "lame" was a little too strong for some of you. I'm sorry. I apologize. I was wrong. I'll never badmouth any style of car ever again on this board. (Notice I never singled anyone's car out in particular) I think I'll go back out to the garage and pay homage to Henry Ford by beating my old tin into submission. It will obey me!!! Carry on Deuce Lovers!!!! Some great cars on this thread. Hope the "drama" of my opinion didn't ruin it for you. By the way. I have been pm'ed by a bunch of guys that agree with my original statement.
Good thing nobody with a 32, whose manufacturer did not start with an "F", tried to post here. You guys are turning on yourselves, cant imagine what you would do to us less privileged and unworthy beings.
Your sincere apology is overwhelming! Just don't expect everyone to agree with your opinions when you want to label other guys and dictate the content of a thread. I'm glad you have original Henry's to build because if you didn't you probably wouldn't be having any fun. By the way, did the guys that pm'ed you also all own original steel Deuces?
If only true original tin cars with true original parts{no aftermarket} were allowed to post on this thread,i dare`say it would be an awfull short thread and discussion! The hell with all this who owns what..............lets Hot Rod, lets enjoy what the site has to offer,a gathering of some of the greatest cars ever built.
I stared at that car for an hour at Carlise last year. I thought it was quite a bargain. If I had the room and the money it would have gone home with me first for sure!
Does mine count? It's an original '32 Ford (except for the head lights). Is it ok that it's half wood and a banger to boot? It's still a work in progress
Who gives a flying fuck , if it looks like a 32 Ford & looks as good as this one WELCOME TO THE HAMB DEUCE CLUB . We built the 22jr Tony Nancy tribute car from a glass body & I was proud of that car. I am lucky enough to own a couple of original Deuces (well the fordoor is Carol's ) but I have had 'glass ones in the past & called them 32 Fords. If someone had to ask "is it original " then Job done , if they have to ask who gives a shit. I've seen plenty of original 32's I would not give garage space to , vice versa I've seen plenty of HAMB friendly glass 32's all welcome in here . Just my 32c worth.
If it quacks like a duck and flies like a duck THEN IT'S A DUCK. This thread was never intended to be a, "mine's better than yours" kind of thing anyway. More pictures please and you don't even have to tell the cars origin...Don't ask don't tell..... "
looks like it just robbed a 7-11 at knife point. I sure wouldn't step into the crosswalk if I saw it coming my way, that's for sure, just plain bad ass.
That's funny Doug. As long as you have known me I would have thought you would have come to my defense. I know how you feel about this stuff. By the way, I think your five winder made out of cast off Henry stuff is my favorite. I miss hangin' out with the guys up north. I'm not sure if they miss me though. 32 Fords are 32 Fords. Everything is else is whatever you want them to be I guess. I give up.
