Hey, I resemble that remark! Actually I do whine and bitch a lot about stuff I don't have, but it's normally about other peoples' talent or brains or penis length and such. Carwise, no complaints. Getting that 5w project was the culmination of a lifelong dream, and it will be my "keeper." I consider myself a lucky, lucky mofo to have it, even though it also brings the occasional "Gold Chainer" ribbing. So the what's-up-with-that is: I'm crazy about Deuces, but not crazy about a 'Deuces Only' HAMB partition. Sorry if I didn't immediately pick up on the sarcasm (see previous note on lack of brains). So may I be the first to say: group hug! And please pass the Grey Poop-On.
My wife is calling me to come watch 'Boston Legal' with her now... decisions, decisions... ok...you guys are gonna hafta ref yourself here...I'll be back later.
I lost all my pics earlier this week with a computer crash. But my icon shows my Deuce, a 1932 Woodie. I have driven it around the NASCAR track in Kansas City this year, about 10 laps.
I'm thrilled to have a deuce, but there are still other cars that are just as cool, or cooler. I still believe in the builder and the concept, not the raw material. I gotta go now....off to the tattoo shop for my new ink...."HAMB Deuce Club....our motto...."Deuces or death..the only two choices". Or maybe "Deuces or paper cuts" What the heck I'm a GMB.
Awwwwwwww...whimper...sniff, sniff Shit you know I totally forgot that I have a 1965 fiberglass 32 roadster on a Dragmaster tube frame......who wants it?
If he wasn't so digitally challenged. I give my left gahunna to see a pic of Bruce Lancasters 32. Oh oh gotta go...my wifes calling and it sure aint for no TV show........
My "50s" survivor under "restoration"!!! (BTW after 40 years of hibernation, I'm finally driving it) See Avatar!! Have been rereading this thread and found out I'm really in deep shit cause I have a full custom, chopped 50 Merc, second owner, had it since 75, was a "semi" stocker, has 56 T Bird 312 in it. Did all the custom work on it in 98 thru 02.
My uncle's always wanted a deuce coupe... But he bought a '31 coupe as a 14 year old back in '64. He's had it ever since. So, because it was "his car" he just made it look like a deuce, and it's even better from most perspectives! So does his '31 fit the bill? -Gregory-
well, boys, there's a whole lot of drama in this thread......i'd say it's 'bout time we close her down...... .......you bunch of fags! somebody run over to lancaster's house and snap us a few pics...
Ok here's mine as it sits now...gotta get offa my ass and work on it and one how it looked the last time it was on the road too many years ago
Holy Crap...good to see all these 32's in safe hands. Heres my cabriolet... I just bought a 3 window project but I don't have any good photos yet.
You're killin me...One of these days I'll have/find one I can afford. My dad had a 32... and that's ALL I WANT! Christmas is coming.....
Don't post much anymore and Never have been much of a club guy . But, when Deuces are involved , I'm in. I'm partnered on this all steel Deuce 3w that we ran at the dry lakes this past season. We competed at every El Mirage meet and B'ville Speedweek as well. Mooneyes came aboard as our sponsor for the coupe. And they are a real asset to our pursuit of speed. Thanks to Shige, Chico and the boys. As a mentor of mine told me, " Racing is alot of f*#kin' hard work... Winning is Fun" . Short story, We had fun ! If it's not a deuce, What's the use ? L B
O.K., Nitro; Here's mine. First build was in 1973-first picture.(red/black) And, the way we are now..all steel......38 years after I brought the body home......
