Hate to hear this. Bob & Dottie are a couple of the nicest people I've ever met.

    Keep them in your prayers.

My husband and i have known plum and dottie for quite a few years now. They are very good people. Unfortunetly the latest news is not good. The cancer is in his lungs, bones and lymph nodes. They have decided not to do chemo or radiation. He is on morphine to keep him comfortable. Plum was one of the photographers back in the 60's and has taken thousands of pictures. Some of them are posted on the drag cars in motion thread. They need alot of prayers to get through this.

    That's sad....:(

  8. Not sure that get well soon fits here, sending good energy to a guy who's pictures have brought me a lot of joy and fueled my fascination with 60's and 70's drag racing.

    Peace brother.

may peace be with you brother.

I saw this news on another forum earlier. I have had many hours of entertainment scouring over Plum's pictures and have "talked" back and forth a bit. Really sad news.

Thank you everyone for your prayers for "Plum". They were going to try to move him today from the hospital to his daughters house which is only about a half hour from the hospital. Hopefully once they get him settled they can show him this thread. I'm sure it will mean alot to him and Dottie.

Two of the best color photos of my car back in the old days are below...

The photographer: Mr. Bob Plumer 1965 Aquasco Speedway (46 Years ago in Maryland).

Bob Plumer is one of the few people we have to thank for allowing us to look back at the past in our favorite sport, and see exactly what happened and who did it. He went coast to coast doing what he loved and doing it well! Thousands upon thousands of wonderful photos are the result

Thank you Bob and thank you Dottie....our thoughts and prayers are with you both.

I did not get to know Bob and Dottie until the Super Stock Reunions 20 years ago. They helped me very much with pictures for the souvenir program and then shot the events. They are as nice as you have read here. I am saddened to hear this. My prayers to this wonderful and talented couple and their family.

I didnt even know Plum was a HAMBer, I know him from the stock/superstock Yahoo group. I knew he was pretty sick about a year ago, but didnt realize just how bad it was till recently. I hope for the best for him, and for comfort in that for those around him.
