If you haven't noticed, we have been working really hard trying to get the HAMB to run a little quicker. Have you guys seen improvements the last 3 or four days? Things running smoothly?

    Fill me in.

mostly quick today, I do notice but must be an IP thing when you open multiple windows of the HAMB some don't load.
Also on threads with a ton of pics sometimes loading time happens. I have fast setup at home and here at work a T3 so??

  5. It's working well for me today. Some of the pics in the tech threads are a little slow to load...I wonder if Photobucket can keep up with us? :D

T1 and it took about 8 seconds for this thread to open when I clicked on it. Sometimes its pretty instantaneous... sometimes not.

Since the changes it's been irregular for me.

  7. Loadin' so fast it detached my retinas bro.

Mine has been runnin' smooth as silk, I don't know if its that way for everyone but I got no complaints.

  9. Haven't been able to post any pictures since Saturday, maybe it's me. I need computer lessons but I know I'll never get them.

    Loading very slow.

  14. Super-quick.....and that's with my stone-age dial-up deal. This thing is so slow that when guys post photos other than thumbnails I can't view them. I may not live long enough for the download to complete..... :)

There have been other network problems over the last few days that have been bothering me so I can't tell if it's the HAMB or some other issue...

Seems to be all over the place... Strange... Our server reports are saying things have been almost 40% faster since Friday. We will keep minitoring and working.

Speed has been fine, but I've noticed something that seems as if to be a bug (or just me). Posting pictures has changed a little. I'll do the normal "insert image", paste the http address in there and sometimes the picture shows and sometimes it will only show up as a link. Or sometimes I'll edit a thread that I've posted a picture in and when I save the changes the picture will have changed to a link. I've noticed by doing an "advanced edit" and previewing the thread before saving seems to help. I've been previewing the threads first before saving on a standard edit where pictures are involved and it seems to make that problem go away. So did something change with the picture posting format or something? Strange.

This happens to me now also. didn't used to, but I started clicking on the "remember me?" box and that seems to make that problem go away.

At times it has been slow, other times its been pretty fast. When it is slow sometimes the tan background loads and nothing else after a refresh it seems ok. I also sometimes noticed that when going to http://www.thehamb.com it never redirects to http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/.

I also have DSL like many others have posted. I timed this thread and from the moment the screen left the HAMB page, it took 15 seconds to fully load this thread. My only criticism about the HAMB speed is that some threads take awhile to load. Like someone else stated, the speed probably is related to picture quan***y. I have no idea how you juggle a job, the cars, reading the HAMB and administering it. Oh wait, I get it, no sleep.

Working good - maybe two to three seconds download.
(odd time in the past couple of days; a little slower - but that could be MY service provider)
