I'm picking Roadstar's 40 as my favorite and I'm going to give him his special "winners" prize tonight. Think he'll believe me when I tell him it's in the garage and he has to follow me out there to collect? [IMG]

I just realized my **** qualifies since I got it on the road this year as a redo. I already voted ..no vote.. so I don't feel guilty, but I would like to include it with the other fine rides as a H.A.M.B. member.

Reading through this post just makes you realize how many KILLER cars were built this year, WOW.
Hot Rods, Customs, Drag cars, all of them Boss!

I'll always remember 03 as the year of the Drag cars. With the BFD, Digger Killer, and Dragon Fly all inspiring others to build a car and go racing who knows what 04 holds. Can't wait to find out.

Thanks for the nominations Buzzard and Barnett, you folks are just too kind.

Im bustin my nominations into categories

Car that I wouldn't want to meet in a dark alley..The Evil Ford Coupe

Car that hits the nostalgia nail on the head and keeps on smackin.....Reggies coupe. I absolutely fell in love with that car in Temple.

Vintage precision and a hell of alot of fun category...Sandman's lil green roadster. That car is an absolute blast and the only thing newer than 1950 or so is the brake drums.

  12. Thanks Crease, but the truth is, when ever we role someplace they all ask if you wana sell yours.

I was at the Day of the Drags and got to see Evilfordcoupe pull his rig off the trailer and I swear it was angry, pissed, and wanted to kick some ***. The crowed all backed up a few feet! Now that is what a hot rod is supposed to do.

My vote is for Evilfordcoupe, and Crease's 33.
This post makes me want to go build something. Thanks, I love this stuff!

Thanks to everybody that said nice things about my Roadster.
I was going to take it off the list as soon as the voting would start, and since that does not seem to happen, I'll do it now.
Truth is, It has been on the road a couple of months to long to qualify for this list. ( I drove it to the last 2 GG shows in Scotsdale ).
I would have liked a shot at the Von Tingler Original, but not by cheating.
( So I may have to buy one now...)

    Suggestion:
How about just having a list of 'completed' cars/trucks etc for the year?
That way we couls all review the accomplishments of our 'bretheren' from the year?

  16. I think this post(which started out as a good thought)has degenerated to the point that it reminds me of the scene in the movie,"It's a Mad,Mad,Mad,Mad World" where the characters are parked beside the road trying to figure out which way to divide up the money they're going to get.
This is one of those scenarios where the old adage,"be careful what you wish for"seems to scream out.
I think(there I go ;working without equipment again!)we should let this thread die an honorable death and continue to appreciate each others cars the way we have been doing right along.Life is WAY too complicated as it is.JMHO

I agree with Safari... How can you really judge all these vehicles when each one is created with a different theme.
I for one like all these vehicles and every one of them for its specific creative approach. It's not fair to judge these as a popularity contest... Now posting pics of this years newly built, as suggested, is a great idea.
