not that i have the coin for a project like that , but i think those are great thoughts. i would like to see the engine req's allow things like that so we could possibly see the variety of ideas and enginuity that it would bring into the mix.
I don't have access to the pictures right now, but there is a thread here about aircooled aircraft engines in hot rods. Try searching for "Nickleson Tool and Die" and see the Lycoming (or maybe Continental) FED they had... it's purdy! And the inspiration for what I'd like to do, albeit via Corvair power (read: CHEAP) Also in that thread is a little German (?) car with a Messerschmidt radial! :0 JK
