Back then there were no billet parts, no disk brakes, few if any speed shops, no real mail order parts catalogs, very little in the way of over the shelf parts. This, my friend, is a TRUE jalopy. You had to scrounge parts and make 'em work. This rod has as much imagination and builder skill as was generally available back then. Don't slam it, this is our past. Our beginning.
I wish I could have put my post in this good of words. I saw many home build hot rods and race cars in the early to mid 50s. these guys did the best with what they had access too.
