Hacksaw is getting his roadster ready for Spring and the biggest part is on the way to his garage. Over the past few weeks I was able to rebuild a spare 59a block into a decent street motor. After a dip and shot peen the block was crack checked and machined by B&Y Machine to take some .060 Offy pistons with cast rings. The crank was cut to .010/.010 and the recip assembly balanced. The block then had hardened seats installed and stainless valves fitted. The valve train is all Isky, (88 cam), valve springs, adjustable lifters, hardware etc. A Mallory dual point takes care of the spark and two '94's on top do the fuel. A mismatched pair of heads plugs everything up. The heads were chamber matched and decked to make sure it don't leak too bad. Some ceramic water pumps and good clutch should make this a decent street runner. Can't wait to hear it fired up.
