Nothing like a nice Sunday breakfast out. Even better when you have it at a cool diner in your hometown with your best girl. Yeah this little place is the recently reopened Bowrey in Hudson Fla. I found out this was originally a pre- fab burger joint in Clearwater Fla. back in the day. It was moved to Hudson in the `70's. Used to frequent the place back then. It was shuttered about 20 years ago. Great to find out the place is back in action.

Later we arrived at my buddy Don's house to just in time to catch him wrenching on his `37 Ford.

Finally on the way home we just had to stop at the oldest drive up "gee dunk" stand in Palm Harbor and get an ice cream. Been in business since 1959.

My friends these are the fine pleasures of life!

Yes the Coupe is louvred along the bottom of the body. Too bad Don had the `34 Ford grille off. That really looks choice on his car.

How was the grub at that diner? I've been meaning to give it a try but haven't gotten to it yet.
Good to see Don still workin' on that cool hot rod. I love that car. Everything about it is right.
Looks like you had a great day...now, go home and finish that car! :D Mike

Man I'm going to have to remember that diner for when I move down to Spring hill next year, I've already been down there a couple of times and stopped at the Ice Cream stand before.

Exactly, after driving home from the relatives yesterday a normally 4 hour drive, which took 5.5 hours because of the snow, I got to go dig my driveway out for another 3 hours, with a snowblower and plow. So you can take your ice cream and shove it:D.

PS looks like a fun day, get your guest room ready, I'm moving in for the winter.:p

Yeah I thought about this AFTER I posted this thread. Rest ***ured though as a former resident of Rochester New York I know the fine art of freezing my *** off. Just think, when summer comes I will be like bacon sizzling in a frying pan. Most of ya'll have it better in the summer I bet.

BTW how 'bout Don's car? Don is one of my hero's and best friends. This is precisely why I love hot rodding...... to get to hang around with guys like him.

I love the diner. I have breakfast every Sunday morning here at "Ethels". I recreated my great grand mother's malt shop from Philadelphia in my basemant. It even has the same jukebox and telephone I used to put nikels into when I was a kid. Now that the diner is complete, I am working as fast as I can getting my 31 5 window Oldsmobile running.

Mike, Looks like you, Jamie & Don had a good time. Wish I could have been there. Too bad you didn't have the '41 on the road. After New Years let's plan on a cruise up to that cool dinner. Merry Christmas.
