After my long winded post on the previous page about my '59 El Camino, I had to laugh this morning. I was out at the Glendale swap with the current girlfriend, and we came across a booth selling nothing but '59 Chevy stuff... My hands literally got itchy, my teeth clentched and I got the urge to go home and curl up in a fetal possistion under my desk and sob. Even the girlfriend asked what was wrong! Sometimes it is good for the soul to sell...
You and me both need a 1959 El Camino. You go first. I wouldn't mind having a 59 El Camino with a long roof............. A 2-door wagon.
I started listening to my friends after 5 years of hearing "when are you gonna drive this thing" and started driving the thing. Brought it all back into perspective. You will drive yourself nuts if you wait until it is 100% finished because it never will be. Put on the Doobie Brothers and start "rollin down that highway".
When I get to the I quit stage I clean the shop and all my tools, and put them in order. It makes me want to mess things up again so I go back to work.
you guys are great..................I may be looking at a 74 dart.......something that only needs a little work but I could drive 100 miles with no worries...
