Well the wife figured it was no use. o_OSo I made it out to the garage the last couple of days. She wants new counter tops, so I guess she that was not going to happen if I did not get this car done.
Got everything out and the new Posies spring in. Besides the 2-1/2" lower spring, I removed the top two springs so it would work with my existing U-bolts etc. . I will get it back on the tires tomorrow. Can't wait to see the drop. Next the front end comes apart.:)

Is that a K.R.Wilson spring spreader Mark and whose is it? Depending on the stiffness of the new spring it sounds like you will get at least a 3" drop. Buying a low spring gets you much more drop than reversing the eyes on an OG spring.

The spreader is Ted's, I have a small one I made for front springs, but this guy can handle the big stuff!

Is it a Wilson one as I've never seen one and was interested. What do you do for reversed eyes as we here in Oz can't afford Posie's springs with the freight costs involved so have to resort to the old "traditional" methods LOL
How about a pic of the spreader, it's still "on topic" isn't it?

What no red wheels? They would compliment the awesome black on the rest of the car :D

The original line in that Stones song was apparently, "I see a black door and I want to paint it red". Their manager thought it wouldn't go over well in the states due to the communist paranoia. Absolutely a made up fact! LOL

Thanks so much for do***enting your modifications as it will come in handy when I finally get going with my '32 5W which I may paint red with black wheels!

Just found a rendering I did a while back. What I pictured this coupe to be. It won't be this low but should look good. I hope! drawing 8 001.jpg !
