I figure this place is about Hot Rods and if he's into that, I don't care how he makes his living. He could be a tampon salesman for all I care. We've got cops, artists, military, retired, postal workers, Government workers, clothes designers, band members, salesmen, craftsmen, students, unemployed, and just about everything else on here. That all takes a back seat to interest in traditional hotrods. If you guys could just get over all this lifestyle, my tatoo is better than your tatoo, Shine and Jessie sold out bullshit, maybe guys like him and Billy G and Shag and others would stick around and we could all talk hotrods. There are lots of people I know of, some of them who have been in the little books that won't come near this place because of all the useless whinning crap that has nothing to do with what the HAMB should be about. That's truly a shame...

Only 4 people replied until you posted this. Since when does 4 folks posting on a thread mean everyones kissing ass? These types of bashing threads are GAY and a useless waste of space. But when things get turned around is when it finally gets interesting.

The V8 superchopped superlow hotrod thread was just a bunch of bullshit until that kid stepped in to defend himself, and made half of the losers ragging on his work look like talentless hacks. Not to mention the kid was only 18 and well onto his way to building his second car. The majority of the people bitching in these threads dont even HAVE cars that run.

I am literally laughing as I read this.

Look- We are into traditional rods and customs NOW...but many of us saw the grand "How Old Are You?" thread, and I know a good chunk of us were floating around 40 years old...which means...there ARE plenty of photos of current HAMBers with HUGE hair...LOL!!

...that may be a subject for another post, but..the fact remains...

We grew, our tastes changed, we studied up on the things we loved, and we ended up here. However that happened is less than significant. Where we've been made us who we are today. We are enjoying the art and flavor of vintage style, and even fine-tuning it to our own tastes.

I don't care where HAMBers come from, or what they used to do, as long as they were passionate about it. Obviously, there's no questioning Ricki's passion, and like so many others, he should be welcomed here.

All you haters probably haven't acheived half what he has in your chosen field, but..you might still.

There's enough hate out there already. We're here because we share a common love. Let's not be complete assholes all the time, unless it's warranted by liars and thieves. They deserve our hatred and will get it with both barrels.

But, for Ricki...

..don't make us start breaking out photos of all of us when we were in our early '20s. I, for one, would be more than a little embarassed, but I would also laugh heartily. It was a different time and I was a different guy..
