Hi All. New to this Forum as i am currently on a rapid search for parts for a Halibrand 301 QC that is in a car we are restoring here at Melbourne Performance Centre - www.melbourneperformance.com/news/group5-bmw-320i-rebuild-progress/ We don't have the ability (cl*** rules) to change to a different rear end and the client wants to use it anyways.. We need a new main shaft. and will also be needing a few spares to take in the kitty for the race meetings it will attend. For your curiosity the 301QC is in a group 5 German touring car (ex - Ronnie Peterson HAT Car). And once restored to its former glory will be raced all over the world in demonstration events and also historic endurance meetings. With a rapidly shortening time frame we are getting more desperate to find new parts available before we bite the bullet and get them made. Any help much appreciated and thanks in advance!
You are not likely to be on here long. The car you're restoring is way out of place here. Normally, an introduction before your first post is in order. I totally understand the being out of place bit.. I have been in search for a while now and have resorted to signing up to forums to find more info and parts. Once i have what i need i will disappear, however i search with intent to spend the money required to get what i need. this project is not a 'budget' one.. thanks for the reply, i have sent a PM. cheers.
