I know Lem Tolliver and he is a super craftsman. I am having a Diamond Trac made for mine. I would like some shots of your Gold track if possible.

Well Lem drives his roadster on the street in all kinds of conditions. He has taken it to some track days at Laguna Seca with a spool. I have ridden in his roadster with him many times (sideways in the street and in the dirt as he crossed behind traffic). He knows how to drive. He has not broken and axle. He uses large radials on his high powered 32. So high horse power, and a spool and big tires have not caused a problem. That is hard evidence. Rumor, conjecture, speculation, fear........that is what keeps things from happening. that is what limits experimentation. The experts said so. So what. Go try it yourself. I was told to put weight in the front of my coupe to keep it from spinning at a certain speed in the dirt. Others said to put weight in the rear. Others said it was just plain dumb to drive the box that fast. I put weight in and added caster and now the thing drives like a station wagon. Listen to what others have to say. Make a plan and decision and do what you want with the information you hear. You may be right. You may be wrong. They may be right. Or whatever. If you break something, cool. Its not like your silly little wheel is going to roll away because you broke the axle off your early ford rear end. When is the last time any of us have broken a hard part on our rides.......a transmission, a crank, a rod, a rear end........from driving too hard? Not from lack of repairs or maintenance? Maybe you are right. Things may break. Maybe it is foolish. What about running a car with no floor boards? No roll cage? no fire system. No air bag. No bumpers. What we do allot of times is just plane foolish!. Dont walk in the street without a helmet you may bump your head. One head injury can ruin your whole day. The person who really thinks they know usually dont. I know that I dont know sh.........

I finally dug up a picture of the champ that is in my roadster in the buidling phase. I promise I will get some internal photos. Just busy redoing the hood on my coupe and getting ready for Bonneville. Just up late cause I cant sleep. Didnt work hard enough in the garage. And the banter here on the hamb sandwich is so much fun. Look at the other Halibrand champ section and i posted some pictures of the halibrand brakes I used on my roadster. Again a product everyone said was junk. They leak. They wont stop your car. etc.......well they work awesome. They have never leaked and have never failed. Listen to what you are told but never believe it. Never let them know you dont believe it. Then go prove them wrong, with them never knowing it. And you will smile. Now go break a rear end, an axle and drive the treads off your tires. Put a piston through the block, break a crank, hit a possum in the road. But........... be sure to Click it......or Tick it.
