That wasnt my point, lots of cars were done like it and it is acceptable in re-creation and to like the results is a matter of perisomal taste, But the same type car as Ivos, but with the WW on the inside to start something is just plain wrong

 

1. Those aren't Sprints in any of the vintage photos shown.
2. One must also consider the type of tire used, and the size/placement of the white wall on said tire.

Again, not Sprints, but what a shame, those appear to be real mag Halibrand Sebring wheels which normally would stand on their own, wide white walls just don't allow that to happen here.
There was a 58 Impala show car many years ago with polished Halibrand Sebring wheels on it, not sure about the tires but if anything I think it may have had narrow white line tires, looked pretty racy for a 58 Impala.
