I just aquired a 29' roadster from an ole time hot rodder's estate.....all the componnets to build a roadster like the Johnny Bean roadster.....a Halibrand quick change on 40' Ford rear end....chopped 32' radiator shell....35' ford 16" spokes...and a windshield like the ones Duke Hallock cast......maybe a copy by Steve Sellers......anybody know anything about these winshields....this one I have is two piece and open on the top....here's a few pix
I have a Sellers Hallock and the finish is "tumbled" and ready to install with a groove cut for the glass. There was another guy making Hallocks about 10 years ago...could be one of his.
There is a pretty extensive thread here on the H.A.M.B. about the Hallock shields and the various off shoots thereof. I would also bet that your is one of the copies cast off one of the originals in L.A. about a decade or so ago. Might even be the one I had my hand on at L.A.R.S one year and waffled long enough the guy behind me bought it... Dumb!
