Sell it ? Never. Took me 55 years to get what I wanted after I sold my high school rod. Now they can bury me in this one, wearing old stained & ragged Levi's and a grungy tee shirt.
Started on my '30 Roadster in 1962 when I found the body, sold it, got it back 25 years later without a thing done to it. I've got a clear vision of how it would look finished, but why rush things, besides I'll never know how to wire it. Bob
I got this 31 Summer of 2014. Almost all was misrepresented. Didn't do a frame up rebuild, but close to it. After we get the bugs out, I'll squirt some bronze metallic with platinum ghost flames on it. Nothing fancy, but it's paid for and my money hole in the garage.
Still got the blue '31 roadster, but sold the black and green coupe and bought this one BACK - I built this one about 12 years ago. Before and after ( I liked it UN-chopped, but WTF). Some re-engineering to do over the winter, and drive the wheels off it next summer!
Slowly it is starting to look like a hot rod. Painted, roof insert done, glass done, wiring half done, fenders going on. Canuck
I am keeping this one plans are v8 Flathead 39 box banjo rear and 40 wheels..Maybe 3" chop and a original 32 shell..
My current driver, a 30 with 350 Bowtie/350 TH, and an 8". Also got a 31 coupe under construction at Barillaro Speed, with a proper drive train 292 Y-block, top loader 4 speed, and 9" posi on deuce rails, check out the build thread "The Y-BROCK Coupe"
Owned mine since 2003, finally got to drag it out of the weeds this summer and haul it from CA to MI. Had to stop at Bonneville for a couple shots. Gonna be a slow build but that's still better than no build
I chopped mine 6" and fitted 16" wires, had a great few months driving my otherwise stock Model A, but can you guess what's next ?
