This may seem stupid to some but where does everyone mount their HAMB member plate. At the jalopyrama, I saw about 2 mounted mostly on the firewall. Mine came in the mail the Monday after the show. I'm not sure I want to put it on the firewall but want to display it proudly. Other than " Up your *** " , where is the suggested place?
This is no ****... one of the proudest moments I've had was at Tardels one day while working on that flathead. This dead nuts perfect '32 5w pulled up to ask Vern some questions. While he had Vern distracted, I dropped my tools and went out to look at the car. To my absolute amazement, there was an alliance tag on the firewall. I have no idea who the guy was and had never seen the car before. I think I smiled for 24 hours straight... Anyway, I love em on the firewall... That's where I have my '06 tag on the '38. On the model-a, I was actually more subtle about it and went with it in the interior...
Mine is proudly displayed inside my toolbox, until the '29 is done, then it's gonna go on the firewall...no, it's not unique, but it looks really good there.
That's cool.....did ya introduce yourself? Or just give each other the "nod of approval"....... Ya know something......I know a couple of Hambers that are Alliance members, and have NEVER posted.....just converse through PM's and in person....good guys.
I made them license plate toppers. When I get the 3rd, Im not sure where it will go next Ill probably mount it to the Model A.
I really like the topper idea. Toppers been mentioned several times here moderators...sounds like a good idea for HAMB funding..hint-hint! As soon as I pay off another bill I'm joining! 48 Poncho
I think that Tag Topper Idea is the way to go. I put my jalopyrama participatant topper on one side of the tag, the HAMB will have to on the other. Thanks with the help on this. Really didn't want to drill holes in my firewall or dash.
I attached magnetic tape to the back of mine and have them stuck to my glovebox. I just couldn't force myself to drill and rivit anything on.
That video was actually made cause of a conversation I had while in NorCal. A person who will remain nameless (****er!) questioned whether or not they were hand stamped. Of course, not only are they hand stamped, but hand stamped by me and me only... It's tedious, but relaxing for some reason. The stamping machine was actually used by the SCTA in the 50's too, so it has history!
Mount it on thick aluminum plate and hang off bottom of back bumper like a Leadsled with a car club plaque.
Firewall for mine. Both of them. I made an aluminum firewall insert that will support my fuel dist. block, remote oil filter, and.... HAMB tags.
