You could put it on your dash or inside on the driver's door if you have no interior. I like the topper idea.
I've got the first year tag on the dash glove box door. The current one, and subsequent ones, is mounted just to the left of the license plate. Proud to show my colors!
I have mine stuck with a magnet along with my billetproof Entry tags on my dash. and my next alliance tag will go right with them
Hey! It's kinda hard to make out on the video but it looks like you were stamping my tag. Cool! BTW, I've been watching on ebay hopeing a stamp press like that will go cheap. I might as well hold out for a free hilborn setup. That's a pricey little monster.
Mine are wedged in the trim on the dash of the wagon. Once the model A is done, one will go on the fire wall. Next year's will go on the pickup.
Here is my dash ! I'm proud to be an Alliance member. I'm just not sure the dash or firewall is the right place for me.
-I was going to put mine on the radiator support, so it could be seen when the hood is up. Instead, I decided to put it on a plate in my back window. Since I'm not one to usually get past my shyness, and walk up and break the ice with people...the HAMB plaque helps. Either people will ask about it, or fellow HAMB'ers notice it, and say "Hi". Maybe I need a Dale Carnagie course, or somethin'...? By the way, that stamping machine is the ****!! I think we all like old gadgets like that...makes the plaque mean that much more...
I was going for the fire wall, but I am liking the plate topper idea or something along that line. Either way, it will be proudly displayed. '22
my 2006 plate is proudly in the center/top of the firewall on my shoebox (right behind my shiny new foot tall carb stacks, courtesy of the ****ster), the 2007 plate will be in the same spot on my new project, a 46 Ford truck, it will be hidden behind a Harrell Los Angeles 3 X 2 manifold. My 2006 plate is going on the firewall of my sedan. After everything is done and the car is driving that will be the finishing touch. I might make a topper for the 2007 tag to go on the 1930 lisence plate I got for my roadster.
Use trip tape or 2 sided tape and try a couple of locations. With the trip tape you could leave permanent and not damage paint. Clark PS can't wait to see the striping!
Mine's on the underhood cover right in front of the radiator of the 50 Burb. First thing one notices !
That stamper machine thinging is the coolest ****ing thing I have ever seen. The sound it makes had me relaxed. Sam.
My dad hates it too. It came out of a camaro that I did in the 90's. Car was two toned, black on top/white on bottom, with a thin little purple swoosh dividing the top and bottom. The trans and rear end are also in this truck
Notice how the tag works in place of a Tach...... who needs a tach when you have a HAMB plate..........
I knew they were stamped by hand but it never hit me how much work it actually is. I feel good knowing you wont get stamping elbow with my short HAMB name.
