HAMB Alliance

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Road Kill PU, Mar 29, 2010.

  1. I just got my 2010 HAMB Alliance dash tag from Ryan. For a mere $50.00 a year you get a bunch of discounts from HAMB vendors and that is great, but to me for $50.00 a year I get to visit this board and enjoy the friendship and knowledge that is here. I don't know any where else that you can get so much bang for your buck. I encourage everyone to join.
    Great job Ryan!
    Later,
    Dick:)

I've only been an alliance member now for a month-ish, and I have easily paid for my whole year membership. Honestly, it's a no brainer to me. The discounts easily pay for the membership.

  12. Put em down already, im sure they have to be getting sore by now.

I can get $50.00 worth of good advise off the HAMB EVERYDAY.

    (Knowledge is power!!)

This makes the HAMB one of the best investments available, for sure better than the stock market...

The diversity, quality, and abundance of knowledge here is incredible.

Since I can afford it, For me I wouldn't feel right if I didn't join.

  14. I just re-upped as well. I don't know what I'd do w/o my HAMB...

  15. I agree, I love the HAMB, I have made more friends than I can shake a stick at, and more than I would want to shake a stick at, bc some might to shove where the sun doesn't shine and break it off. hahaha VIVA LA HAMB!!!! WOOOWHOOOOOO Gotta love the VAST amount of knowledge, the Incredibly cool people, The Pictures, the posts, The events, Especialyl the Round UP, Texas is the place to be!!!!

    Thanks a Million Ryan

  16. couldn't agree more...besides supporting a great source of information on the HAMB board I saved damn near $40 of the 50 at "newvintage" (best ever customer service!!!)

  17. Fourteen cents a day for all this, what a bargain.

Similar story here. My collection of HAMB Alliance tags now numbers four. I'm wearing out the rivet holes on my firewall. :)

  22. In addition to all the other bennies, how can you put a price on all the friends that you have made through the HAMB?

I agree with everyone else. Am signed up for the second year and will buy from the Alliance vendors when i can but it's worth the money just for the information and education.

I've never used the Alliance discounts, I never intended to do so.
I just like being a stakeholder in things that I enjoy. I have always felt really creepy about getting enjoyment or education out of something without some sort of "give back", either in a cash membership or volunteering my time to help the cause.
Also, I never had any idea that my past 50 years of experiences and photos would ever be of any value or interest to anyone. My memories were just locked in my head and my photos were in a big box that sat on a closet floor. But that was until three years ago when Sloppyseconds told me about the HAMB.
Sharing with like-minded people, especially the young guys and gals, has been a real source of pleasure and satisfaction for me and it allows me to re-live my past once again from the great days of the 1950's and 60's with people who care and are excited to hear about.

So I was all amped up about the H.A.M.B Alliance for the discounts... i wanted to get some new tires for the 54 and found out that the alliance discount on my order would be $65. Woah. that's more than the $50 it costs to join... no brainer... that WAS the original intent... but then i got my firewall tag and a note from Ryan... okay guys.. call me a girl.. but i got all teary when I read that Ryan stamped MY tag just for me!!! AND HE SIGNED IT IN REAL INK!... think about it guys... he's got a million things on his plate, and he still has time to thank each of us INDIVIDUALLY for supporting the HAMB. It all changed after that.... i'll never let my alliance membership expire...
regardless of if i need parts or not that happen to be discounted by the HAMB alliance... it's the satisfaction that Ryan is so dedicated along with many other members and alliance members here on the HAMB. I have gained SO much knowledge and information on my project and can't thank the members that have provided me with that enough! Without them my "idiot light" would be on all the time... and i'm not talking about one on my dash! :)

My Allience membership paid for itself on an order that I made with SoCal Speed in SAC. Plus they brought everything to the Good Guys event and I picked it all up there. So no tax or shipping. Spent a little over 3 grand.
