Do I just download it from my device and the symbol for the app appears automatically or is it harder than that? Is it free? THX

The hamb now works on an Android phone without the app.

I tried the app and couldn't log in.

I'm not a fan of the app. I just use the web browser and surf like you would on a computer.

I couldn't find a way to log in

  6. While its nice that you can get an app, its easier to just log in through Google on your phone.
That's how I do it, and I did download the free app. I like using my phone, and you will once you get the hang of it.
It will piss you off figuring it out, just don't throw ya phone at the wall when it dose.
Theres nothing better, when having to wait for something, ie, Doctors office, and being able to use that time surfing Hot Rod websites.

I have been using Firefox web browser on my Android tablet with no issues and can see everything on the Hamb just fine. I tried the app a while back and had issues so I gave up on it.

I use the Opera browser on my phone, and when I want to play HAMB on it, I just open Opera, and go to the HAMB (which I have on "speed dial"). I have no trouble logging in, and can do a few things like read threads, answer "conversations", see what new posts there are on threads I'm following, etc. I think I even posted pictures, but I don't recall for sure.

to find the HAMB on the browser, you can use google and search for hamb. When you finally get to the correct forum page, you can bookmark that, and then when you want to find it again, it's not too hard to find.

If you can't figure this out, then you should find a teenager to help you.

  10. This is the way of the future, and I love it. No more PC taking up room in my home, I can snap a pic and post it from anywhere. Just need to upgrade, cause my phone camera is only two megapixels, and it makes my pics look bad.

Yeah ... I didn't have good luck on the app either, but with different carriers, and phone generations ... I'm thinking my older Android didn't have the suds to really cruise it proper. When I upgrade my phone ... I'll try it again. I do like what the others have said. Google browser to HAMB-landia. Good stuff when you aren't conveniently anchored to your desk.

The app seems to use an inordinate amount of data on my Galaxy S5. When I switched back to accessing the site via Chrome, my data usage fell by half. That being said, I still use the app via WiFi. I like it.

Do you know what a "browser" is? It's what you're using to read this right now.

your phone has a "browser" on it. You can read the HAMB on your phone, using it, just like you do on your computer.

If you can't figure that out...they do have phones that only make phone calls, maybe you should get one.

I run it on my Samsung Galaxy S5. I like it.

Except for the occasional quirkiness, I presume when it's being worked on, it is a nice, lightweight version of the real deal.

I find that it is actually faster to get back to threads that I have participated in as that is a feature.

It is much quicker and easier to report the nightly spam-bots, as it does not make you wait between posts.

My phone, of course, is rooted (meaning that I have byp***ed the phone companies restrictions placed on it), and I control what data goes in and out, as well as the app behavior when it is not in the foreground.
