Aaaa hell, wire wheels gotta stay if YOU like them and its YOUR hot rod. Most who don't want them are to lazy to keep them bright and shinny, to hard to keep clean. (at least that's been told to me by those who don't want them.) Oddly enough I haven't found that to be the case at all, no more than any highly
    chromed mags I've ever run.

Still do:) I like to add a pinch of sawdust too. It really helps to keep the "knockin" to a minimum:eek:

No matter the build style... rule of thumb.
    Avoid over accessorizing.

Here's my Coon Tool Toothpick. (that's what my Grandma made my Grandpa call it) He was a surveyor for the county and wore it around his neck for years. I inherited it when he died in '74. They ain't worth a crap unless you sharpen them to a point. Unless you got a lot of teeth missin'. The other one I found along the road. The buzzards cleaned it off for me.

    To keep on topic:

I don't have one any more but what about the lighted hood ornaments. They were popular at one time.

  17. SO what's the deal there Marty, are you showing him your 'training aid' in this picture?

  18. Don't forget the rear window blinds, and the Green Yellow Red miniature rear window stoplights.
One of my uncles drove a Nash with those. As a pre grade school kid, I thought those were cool.
Later when one of our grade school teachers drove a 56 Buick with continental kit, chrome tip pipes, skirts, headlight visors, feelers, etc etc etc, I used to say that he bought the whole "J C Whitney trim kit".
Even an impressionable kid could know when someone would overdo it.
It's not hard to look silly instead of cool if you're not careful.
P.S. I still like full moon disc wheels, windshield visor if the car is right,
....and right now, I have mooneyes stickers on my Stude truck and Ford pickup, and a Civil Defense sticker on my Stude bumper for old times sake.
