Well this is something I scribbled together tonight. I would chop and drop the little thing. Give it a custom one off grille styled after a Lasalle some 1936 Lincoln headlights. A pair of front cutsom extended fenders to help the body flow down into the 46 Ford enspired running boards (bodyline). Then to bring the car together as if it where floating a pair of custom rear fender skrts. I would have this car a very enticing emerald green with white interior that would also carry on to the custom padded androlled top.
Opps "Nobody" It is getting late or I just have been working to hard today trying to get a 1919 Stude built. Any sorry for the mis spelled word..
I hope nobody likes anglias. It will give me a chance to win something since I'm not even using photoshop to make mine.
Mine took awhile and my scanner is not big enough nor my computer skills good enough but this is what I came up with. Representing the race cars!!!! FLIP hopefully it isn't too small.
Ok, I thought it might be fun to blow the dust off my old felt-tip and try this out!! Took a basic Anglia, then bobbed the fenders, dropped in a huffed-up 331 Hemi, tossed on some vintage rolling stock, a drilled axle and a cut-up Ford style roof and let it dig itself into the pavement a little on a full throttle launch!!
I know the race car heritage that Anglias have, but I thought I'd take this one in a little different direction. How about an A-400 style Anglia? Making this really "right" would require losing the bustle for a more "slantback/flatback" look. Wheels are 15-inchers from Rally America, powdercoated black... let's put a narrowed 8-inch rear running maybe 3.50's or so, and power could come from an Iron Duke going through a 4-speed. Top and interior are tan, and the color would be a non-metallic dark green... harkening to a certain British Racing hue.
My contribution. Submitted for your approval. A somewhat familiar look for a piece I call "True Brit!" It's a color pencil drawing on animation paper.
Not sure of the rules, as I did not see #1. I am hoping that a little bit of 1/64 scale Hot Wheels rearranging would be classed as 'art'. Started out with the panel and chose to go with the 4 door version known as a Prefect, rather than the 2 door Anglia. Regards Alex
Jigger .....WOW, i'm really digging this one and i approve! GaryC had my vote all the way up until i saw this one. I may have to change my decision after seeing this awesome piece you posted last night. Great job, it's definitely a toss between the two of you
Thanks Cab (Probably reminds ya a bit of a certain drawings you've been patiently awaiting) Cheers Monkey-man, Bonny day t'ya, mate!!!
Jimmy B, looks like you already have it down but here's a profile shot of my ute if you need one for reference
I have to say I really like the 3 window version as well as the A400. I even like the idea of the 5 window. I just like things that are creative. As for the art that has been posted so far I have to say it really is an honor to be posting my scribbles amongst the artist on the HAMB. I only hope to post something that will be finished next time rather than just a sketch.
Here is my go around on this one. Aint a gasser...but it's faster than one. Yeah, its got a mild chop (about a yard) and a slight nose job. And a zoomied Hemi under the "bonnet" too. Wearing some salt spray from it last run, here is the World's Fastest Indian...er...uh...I mean, ANGLIA!!! Sander
