I have a question to ask of all you fellow HAMBers. I have run several HAMB auctions with great results...but I have to ask how long to you wait for the winner to step up and claim a prize? You see the attached link to a Grab Bag auction that ran out last Friday at 4pm. Im still waiting on the winner to SAY hey I won and Ill be sending the money right away to RYAN.
How long do we as HAMB auctioners wait?
Also who ever has the HAMB drags hub cap Im very happy for you. I won a auction for it some time ago and then relized I had no money with moving the shop and all. I had to put my tail between my legs and tell Ryan i couldnt pay. for that Im very sorry. Id pay for it now if I could. So yes mistakes happen. so if you done want the goods lets let the next highest bidder have a chance
    thanks for your time

I usually contact the winner myself with a PM containing Ryan's address so that they can mail payment.

Once they reply with a confrmation, I send the item.

Brush and Raven61 were the winners of my last two auctions, stand-up guys for sure!

Try notifying whoever won your auction and see if you get a response that way.

I've only had one auction where there was no response.

for the rest the responses came from the winner in less then a week and from Ryan soon after.

the low dollar stuff I send as soon as the winner aknowledges winning.

that's up to you, me, I wouldn't get too excited about it, maybe two weeks?

I wonder what pecentage of registered users hold auctions? or bid on them? or bid to win?

I bet though that the percentage of winners that actually send Ryan the $$ is near 100%

hmm,,I just noticed there are NO current auctions.

Auctions to support the HAMB are a great idea.
    I have won my share.
Ryan has said more than once the board is free.
He has said he would rather see money spent on projects, especially when money is tight.

Now, if a bidder does not send the money right away, it may be for several reasons.
We all have rough times now and again.
Computers break, and other time commitments sometimes prevent accessing the Board

Just a sugggestion for someone who wins an auction and can't send the funds right away, simply send a message to Ryan and the holder of the auction with an explanation and an idea of the time you could send the payment. I think this should be in the form of a pm or email.
It is no body's buisness other than the bidder, Ryan, and the auction holder.

That way, you keep your dignity and Everything is cool.
    .
I do have a suggestion for anyone that wants to initiate an auction for support of this place.
My suggestion is to contact Ryan to determine the period the help is needed and have the auction accordingly.
    Rock on, H.A.M.B.
