Mine is a close up of my current project the Schumacher Special circa 1934. The picture was taken on a street just outside Yonkers NY. Here is the entire picture with sprint car in tow.
when the good weather hits NYC,I'll be drivin this leadsled everywhere! Its f*ckin' 14˚out today with the wind chill factor taking it to below zero....sheeeesh!
Mine used to be my club logo, but now it's my 58 apache I'm building right now. Yes I own it, and soon I will be driving it. I will have it at Roundup one way or another. It may only be a painted chassis and drivetrain, but it will be there
I have owned my Model A for 9 years. I drive her spring, summer, and fall. She is allergic to winter road salt, so she hibernates during the winter.
Bought it in 1973 as a 75 dollar running beater with bald tires, a 194 chevy II 6 and stock three speed and closed driveline. After deciding that my 23 T was not going to be ready for the nats in Tulsa that year I went on a two month campaign to redo the 48 which included new rear fenders, running boards and many hours of block sanding. Paul Charles sprayed it 72 Monte Carlo gold and Bobby Russel of Waco did one of the nicest roll and pleat jobs I have ever seen on the seat and did the cover for the bed. A set of used tires on 67 Z28 ralley wheels (25.00 for the set including caps and rings) and we were off to Tulsa. One of the highlights was standing in line for the Barbecue? dinner with Tex Smith and listening to some of his stories. 200,000+ miles, four engines, six or seven transmissions, four or five rear ends and two rebuilds it is worn out and ready for a complete redo. This time out the intent will be to give the impression of a mid/late 50's custom shops finished and slick shop truck with a lot of serious but smooth body mods that some may or may not like. Wide whites, custom hub caps and very shiny chrome and paint. Plus very low but nol bags.
i own mine, dont drive anymore. my 63 went under the knife to donate some parts for my 63 wagon. still have it though
This's the car with the rollbar from my avatar. Built it, own it, drive it. Short trips only, lousy mileage.
I own it, break it, save up money to fix it, fix it, and drive it until it breaks again then start all over again.......
my 35 get driven every chance i get. even if just to get a pizza. here we are doin 80 on the highway passing Artie B while driving to the pumpkin run in cincinatti last fall you can even see his reflction of the falcon on the side
Yep! At least thats the hood ornament attached to my 48 Poncho convertible. I drove the hell out of it for 4 years and now I'm putting it back together after updating. 48 Poncho
Thank you. It's a mostly stock slant six, 3 sp gearbox and open rear from a '62 Valiant donor car, carbs are SUs, box is shortened and 4.10s in rear. My signature links at the bottom pull up build photo albums with pictures and particulars. The class is HA-mb /G-as R-ail, '50 style diggers built with certain up to '62 engines.
