Mine is a pic of my dad with some of his buddies taken in 1959 when they went to Daytona and surprised a few of the big dollar factory teams with what some guys hicks from New Hampshire could build. The spring of 1959 brought Saidels team of supercharged chassis to National recognition. 1st The Daytona Car (7C-S113) finshed 6th at the 1st FIA 1000 km race at Daytona Speedway on April 5 1959. Ray Saidel was running 4th until a faulty fuel pump had him out of the race for over 20 mins. Once back on the track the Jomar resumed the chase but couldn't make up the lost ground. These USAC races saw Raymond pitted against cars with twice the displacemnet of the 1100cc supercharged Jomar.
Ive owned mine (in various stages) for 32 years. Its been on the road for the past 13 years and I drive it when I can.
Yes, I own and drive mine. Lately, I've driven it less, because of cooler weather. But I still get wet and cold from time to time.
My 38 has just been brought into my garage for a total rebuild needs just about everything. First up is body panels and floors then drivetrain work, hope to have at least a solid roller by spring then maybe a runner next summer.
Yes, artistic representation of my '39. A mate painted the sign to hang in my shed, I just took a photo of it.
Yes I own it. It is just a photochop of what it might look like when done. She was drivin into the garage and then we stripped her down to rebuild her.
Drive mine every week in good weather. Wet and cold don't do much for me at my age so its close to a fair weather driver now.
Some people have obviously changed theirs since first posting... Either that or there are some sick people on here.
