Sure do like my calendar....but the real fun was on saturday...bagging calendars...good food ...nice people. It's really amazing the talent on this board. I think that the calendar project would have cost a huge amount if you had to pay all the talented people for their efforts....the beauty is that everybody chipped in and helped....striping, writing, photography, printing details, order taking, and the great hambers who sent in checks.......all for the love of rusty junk (in the common mans eyes)...I was happy to be a part of the project, and hope we can do it again in the future. Now for a tough decision...do I use it or put it away with the family heirlooms???? ...hey..wait a minute ...I got two!!!!...problem solved.
Yeah Hatch it was a fun way to spend a saturday afternoon in Michigan in the winter. It was for a great cause and I met a few new HAMBers. The crazy part is I haven't even got a calender yet I hear they are pretty cool though
I'll trade ya one of mine....it's a future collectable...I'll get Denise to autograph it( )....got any 40 coupes you would like to trade off???
I agree, the calenders kick ass. I sent out 4 as Christmas gifts and kept one for my wall but I need to come up with a better method of hanging it. The one little hole in the middle simply won't do. I know the top corners will start to droop over and the hole just may tear out in next summer's midwest humidity. Nope, I need to configure 2 clamps at the top corners I think. Something that won't damage the paper or crease the artwork.... BTW, Thanks for making it 1948. It's the year I was born. Hope my brother's enjoy it as much as I will...
I gotta jump in and agree here - I was glad my photo got picked, and I really liked the samples of the pseudo-finished pages that were posted here, but I never expected the finished product to be as impressive as what came in the mail yesterday. VERY COOL! Like HATCH said, it's amazing what this group can get done.
I was expecting a 'standard-format' girlie calandar. I was surprised to see it sized the way it is. Nice. A unique look for a unique board.
If I got the story right...Django wanted it that size..Making them fit in the envelopes was a pain, but looking back, a little more work was worth it for "the art"
I got mine today, it kicks %$@&*$* ASS ! BUT whats the deal with "hearts" and "XOXO's" drawn on the envelope ? my wife saw it and asked if my girlfriend is sending me love notes!
I love mine. Taking one to a Christmas party tomorrow night to show off the great talent on the board. Too bad they weren't out a couple weeks earlier - we could have had a tech series on punching a couple of holes to compensate for the mid west humidity Ahhhh.....a new product is born - cast aluminum HAMB (calender) holders.........
we got one as a present for a friend, looked so good i almost kept it for myself..oh well.and thanks for the speedy delivery!
Yep. I was definiteley glad to have helped... it was a hell of a lot of fun! It is really cool to be able to put faces with names... it makes it seem totally different when reading the HAMB; you can almost hear or see the people sayin' it! We need to do it again real soon! (maybe not calendars, but we need to get together anyway!) As far as the X's and O's, that's just lotsa love from us Gay Michigan Bitches, special for you Cool Californian Cats!
Yeah...it's a killer calendar for sure...I keep flipping through mine and diggin' the fine work! (Especially dig April's picture...even cooler cuz it's the month I wuz born in! ) But last Saturday's stuff-fest at Denise's RULED...rumors that Hatch was just a faceless entity existing only within a computer network in some far off subterranian dwelling were put to rest as The Man Himself made a personal appearance! (Was kinda hoping he'd ride that bike of his so I could shut him down with my Gay Bitch Schwinn Moped, though...maybe some other time, eh???) The day was filled with fun, frolic...and FURS!!!
Just so the rest of the HAMB folks know who the fems are in the photo, from left to right; Fat Hack, HotRod2Hell, and FlatheadPete Hatch is the one in the other photo of the fems that was wearing the long, brown, shaved beaver coat, and had one of the HAMB calendars rolled up in front of him. Can't remember exactly who got that calendar but I know they sent it to someone "special"
[ QUOTE ] Roadstar, Try and make friends with someone on the STAFF, I'm sure you can come up with one. [/ QUOTE ] LOL... he said "STAFF" LOL....
