[ QUOTE ] I'm in, but does it include a cook...cute little girlie maybe? [/ QUOTE ] I have to see what my neighborhood slave trader can drum up for me. At his prices it's a long shot though.
Looks like about 55+ so far. do I hear 60? Come on guys and gals. Hey and whats this no takers from down under and Europe. Or don't you guys know how to cook?
If it was sent in it, made it in.Everything was deemed edible at least. So if you sent in a recipe unless I missed it somehow it is in there. And there is some damn fine stuff in there
[ QUOTE ] A lil sample Horseshoes These are a hometown original, created years ago by the chef at the "The Red Coach" in Springfield, Illinois on North Grand. It's one of my favorite memories as a kid. This is my take on them. [/ QUOTE ] Zeke!! Are you from Springfield? Assuming this is your recipe, anyways... Horseshoes = high colesterol, artery clogging goodness. The history is a little off, but I can let that slide. They weren't invented at the Red Coach, just perfected out there. BTW, put me down for one copy!
Mike, I grew up in a neighboring hick town just north of Springfield, Cantrall . You from Springfield? And yeah I shoulda clarified that about it's origin. I figured what the hell, that was what I was always told when I was a kid. I'll make the change before it goes to print though. And like it says, it's just my take on the recipe. A tweek here and there to suit my tastes but not mine entirely.

I was born and raised in Springfield, just moved to Missouri earlier this year. Cool to come across another former central Illinoisian on the HAMB. By the way, if you didn't know, the Red Coach closed a year or so ago...kinda sad. But, Norb Andy's Tabarin downtown still serves a mean horseshoe...
