Glad you made the round trip without the flattie acting up. Knew that you were a little concerned, but I could tell that you were gonna make it fine. BTW - I take it that you fixed the floor ?

Awesome! Glad to see it went to the right guy and it still looks the same! I honestly couldn't ask for anything more than that...

Looks like you've got an "L.A. Roadsters Show" sticker on the headlight, did I miss you while I was out there?

Hey Reg I woke up (thanks to Eddie). I will vouch that you drove the sh** out of the lil flattie .I had a hard time keeping up and lost you when you hit the toll road. I agree with Franco but will have to addthey all looked killer going down the road its not everyday that you follow 4 32's and Merc down I 35 !

Good times Reggie, good times. We all made it up and back in one piece. This was pretty effortless. I am having fun in the Merc. Enjoyed getting to hang w/ everyone in Joplin and Campisi's was one of the highlights. Even Franco, the Italian liked it. When's the next trip?

Getting there is half the fun...being there is the other half...getting back home is...well...anti-climatic. I'm glad to hear you guys understand how much fun a loooo-oooong hiway trip can be...and you ain't afraid to drive your rods...

I've been doing those road trips for over 30 years (in a rod or Kustom)...and each one gets better than the last.

Good to see you Reg, Steve...and the rest of the Austin crew...

Reggie, love the rodaster gald to hear it runs down the road as good as it looks.

  22. Dam, I thought that was the roadster Rumbler Brian built... good job. Looks sweet running!

  23. All, thanks for the compliments on the roadster. This trip really was a blast for me.

Yep, this roadster was built by Brian. I talked him into of selling it to me for my Christmas present....lucky me! I did make some substantial chassis changes in with the rear suspension, added a hot flattie and the T5 tranny all to suit my driving style....or should I say driving abuse :D. But hopefully I didn't disturb Brian's Rollingbones look that grabbed my heart (and wallet :)).

I guess it doesn't matter who built it as long as it's still running and in good hands. I'm just glad to see it being driven hard by a solid guy!

Those pictures really put a smile on my face.

  25. I knew if I hung with you... I'd find some food...!:D

Great BBQing with you, El Jefe, Von Franco, Krupanut and the other closet Texans!!!
