Event Coverage HAMB Drags 2009: Are You READY?! Who's Going?

I know we already have a whole forum devoted to the HAMB Drags (http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=41), but I figured I'd bring it to the Main board.

This summer has been flying by and the drags are already this Saturday, 08/22/09! I'm pretty damned excited about it, too.

So, who's all going?! Are you racing and is your car/rail, etc. ready!?

there will be a large contingent of st louisans, including some new details on a car you've seen before and a whole new car, built just for this event. it seems somebody got tired of watching everybody have fun. goat ropers and deuce bags!

That's kinda what I was thinkin'. I'm taking my son, or maybe he's taking me.

Once again we'll be in the Jetta TOS. Hopefully the last time we have to do that. The little red C10 ain't quite ready for the drive. Should be ready for the Pile Up though.

leaving friday am- unfortunately none of us have a running rod at the time, so looks like the honda sedan, will be cheap on gas. looking fwd to it, use to race there in 68-69 have not been back since, real nostalgia for me

 

I dont think I will have the coupe back together after that big multi-state blast. I havent gotten out to work on it much yet since I have been back, I kinda missed the family. We will see

 

Damn Breeder, get on down there. Still looking forward to meeting you(some say I might regret it) and binder. After seeing his picture though that's a little scary also.

Any one driving from Minneapolis/St Paul. My party will be on the road southbound between 6-7am. Friday.

 

I'm leaving Fort Worth at 4 am Saturday, I'll be heading north on 35 to OKC, to Tulsa and Joplin on 44. PM me if you want to run together, if you're like me and have to work on Friday..
