HAMB DRAGS COVERAGE - at the track!

Here is the first batch of images. I had the new camera - Canon 5D Mark II (from work) so I was having a bit of fun. Filled an 8GB card with 650+ photos. Here are the first few.

I think the logo is nice. I bet high quality large prints are available sans logo.

I could have done without the trailer queen power parking douchebags saving spots with lawnchairs. That is what the spectator side is for. Respect the racers. .02

Well there in lies the kicker! I like to share but have had stuff "borrowed". At least this way the "borrower" has to put in some work to get rid of a watermark. While the rest of the HAMB has the opportunity to see the great time had at this years event.

Great photos...I must remember to check out this camera next time I'm trying to be patient while my 120 stuff is being processed...either that, or I'm going to be a total luddite and revert to tintypes...

Perhaps my meds aren't working, because I am feeling compelled to comment on how the two photos I "quoted" must have been taken within a couple minutes of each other...not a complaint by any means, just noticed the clouds

Hopefully, the son and I will be able to make it next year. Kid's almost grown, gotta keep him around folks that don't build ricers...

hillbilly - the cars were within 20 feet of each other. SOOO many great cars to shoot! you HAVE to make it out to a HAMB drags! It is well worth the time.

You're work is awsome. Technical question, the color saturation is so great, is that done in the camera with exposure or are you photoshoping/editing with computor software ?

 

And WHAT the HELL is that paint???

ric - It is all in the wrist! But really I had a great camera to work with Canon 5D mark II (21mp) so it only took a couple quick touches with the computer programs to get the color and contrast to jump.

D.W. - get me in touch with the guy on the triton. PLEASE! Just too many people Saturday running around to make a proper howdy-doo with everyone!
