Hot Rods Hamb drags in car video

Thanks to everyone for the hospitality. The HAMB Drags is such a friendly event when I compare them to the left coast events. From my point of view everything went very smooth, thanks to Ryan and his team.....and Carl and his track team.

First pass on the new motor it ran a 10.28 and really shocked the chassis on the launch so I made a small adjustment on the back and ran a 10.26. Bumped it again the same amount and ran 10.24 @130 mph with a 1.37 60 ft.. The track was perfect, the starting line was sticky and traction was not a problem. The shut down area is wierd in this car because the valve body does not engine brake....but the car stopped fine.

reminds me of Carlbad, If I remember it had a short ending and you had to make a quick turn at the end or go into the side of steep hill.

Don't know why I couldn't find this thread yesterday. Cool video. There's a 9 in there looking for a place to happen. I know what you mean about the shut down. It can be challenge to get whoaed up if you don't get on the brakes pretty quick.
