told by who? if Ryan doesn't say it don't believe it... I know he is planning on other Drags throughout the country.
i can't really think of any place in phoenix that would have the correct feel. to me thats whats so cool about the kan, the oldness.
News to me, I know Ryan was talking with the folks at Speedworld a few years ago about the West coast HAMB Drags but nothing was ever firmed up.
Bring the HAMB Drags east to Maxton! Not much more old school than running on an old airstrip! Make it so, Ryan!
Correct?! Speedworld is "correct", started out as Mel Larson's drag strip in the 60's and has kept pretty much the same vibe, save for the new subdivisions near there. Concession stand with a little breezeway, pea gravel pits..... Hopefully, they've ditched the lame-ass PINKS monstrosity at the start. I hope it stays in Mokan for all you guys, but I hope there is an extra event being hatched by the boy-genius, it would be fun!!!!
Who told you that? I plan on staying at MoKan just as long as they will have me. We actually were very close to having an event at Speedworld. Just couldn't work it out with the track.
Well you heard it. Find the person that told you, smack them in the mouth, and call them a "lying dumbass."
http://www.loopnet.com/xNet/MainSit...&PgCxtCurFLKey=MarketMyListings&PgCxtDir=Down the strip in armadillo is still for sale....
we need to get one in the noth east, say like michigan or ohio area, would love to go to the event now but just a little to far to travel at this time
I've never heard the real, straight skinny on this, but someone was all about doing just that, hit a snag, don't know if it was permits, money, indian land or what, but it didn't happen.
something in az would be cool. i just cant afford to take all the time off work, & pay the gas to drive all the way out to mokan.
