Having blown a head gasket in the 1st run on the top end, we figured our day was done except for a few junkies car club guys from Denver along with Chad the owner thrashing on the roadster, ripping the blower and head off, then doing the reassembly, and a fella named John that was there watching the event who had to leave the grounds to get the manifold gaskets from his home in Joplin, and Jackson who blew up his transmission in his bare steel willys hot rod pickup I believe in the first round, again who had to leave the grounds to get the head gaskets and wouldn't take any money for it. and finally to the gentleman that lost barely to us in the ET round driving the primer and orange roadster who came over and gacefully shook our hands.. What a class act.
Hey man I was glad to help and it made my day when you fired that thing up and then went out and won the elimination round I figure somebody had to have some luck that day cause it damn sure wasn't happening in my corner of the track lol I'll get the Willys back together and ready to run next year Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
I hope you get the truck back together by next year. Because you will have a bunch of new fans rooting for ya.
I heard the call go over the speakers that someone was looking for a set of Hemi gaskets and I thought to myself, that guy is gonna be out of luck.... Glad you got it back together. Power of the HAMB. -Abone.
I sent a couple of PM messages to the powers to be, but got no response. Over the pa at the track they said because of the weather they were not going to have anything for the low et winners at the track, but said what ever it is it would be mailed out. What usually happens for the low ET winners if anything?
